My new diet column
Today I am going to introduce the Banana Diet
朝バナナダイエット

Banana Diet (In Japanese)
The Morning Banana Diet was introduced in year 2006, and was further advertised by a tv program, "Omoikkiri Terebi". Bananas have been flying off the shelves in supermarkets.. seems like the effects are good!
Steps of diet:
1. You wake up
2. Eat bananas
3. Drink water
That's all!

You don't have to buy a book to read up on this diet. Bananas are cheap and affordable, and it's sweet so it's filling.
Effects:
1. Low calories
2. High fibre, improves bowels
3. Breaks up fats (Fried Bananas does not contain the necessary enzymes to break fats up so it's a NO-NO!)
Take note:
1. Drink water at room temperature/warm water as cold water is not good for the body and also it slows down the metabolism rate. In any case, it is always good to drink hot drinks like red ginger tea etc.
2. There is no point in having this diet in the morning if you end up eating more than you should 'cos you feel hungry. It is important to not overtake the amount of calories you need per day.
3. Diets that concentrate on one item only (in this case, bananas) focuses on decreasing the calorie intake and it may cause "rebound" in the weight. Balance your lifestyle with equal amounts of different kinds of food and the diet
I think this is rather interesting and I've been doing this for 2 days so far. It really improves bowels -.-" will update on it again!
